Life is swiftly moving to death, be prepared before its arrival.
O’ son of Adam, you are only a number of days. When one of those days passes, a part of you passes away. (Sha’ab e Iman).
Every human being on the earth comes for the prescribed time period. No one arrives to live forever in this material world. And the death overtakes every one. Each and every breath brings us closer to our destination. No one can stand persistently in the way of death. Allah says in Surah A’raf “When their time has come, they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede it.
The span of time that we possess is not eternal. Everyone has been endowed with a certain age. And the base of one’s success or failure in hereafter depends on this world. Allah has opened the path of success and failure in the world itself. And He has granted us freedom for a short time bestowing upon us the distinguishing instinct between good and bad. Allah says in Surah Dahr “Verily, We guided to him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful.
He is the cleverest person who takes the advantage of this opportunity, and utilizes all his ability for the cause of his life after death. He never misses any opportunity to make his upcoming life more lavish and luxurious by any means necessary. He always performs the deeds which get him close to his God, and avoid doing such a thing that causes the anger of his Rab. This is the person Allah helps him moving step by step to the blissful destination about which Allah’s messenger Muhammad S.A.W said “I have prepared for my righteous slaves what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and the mind of no man has conceived.
Nevertheless, he is the most foolish man who takes the disadvantage of the freedom offered by Allah S.W.T. and lives his life according to his own wishes. He never cares about the rights of his Creator nor does he give importance to the rights of Allah’s creation. He definitely forgets that this world is a very short duration of time. At any moment the angel of death could arrive extending hands to hold his jugular vein. Then he will be brought to Allah S.W.T and been accountable for all his actions. That will be a moment he will cry out regretting on his past, but this crying has no avail.
We must account ourselves and ensure that in which category we have made our position. Do we stand in the line of grateful people or ungrateful. If we stand amongst grateful people, we must be thankful to Allah S.W.T. otherwise we must have made firm decision to change our position from ungratefulness to gratitude. And this fact always should be instilled in our mind that we have only chance as long as we have time in our hand.
May Allah make us understand the value of our lives before it’s too late.
